Bizwrite Content Strategist Participates in Q&A with CNN

Bizwrite co-founder and director of content strategy Tyler Reed recently participated in a Q&A with CNN Underscored star reporter Lauren Ward.

Ward tapped small business leaders for insights into Blogger versus WordPress systems for building an online following. Reed explained that Blogger was a great tool initially, but eventually, he needed more functionality and integration as the Bizwrite following grew and he wanted to attract more clients.

“I initially used Blogger when I first started out as a freelancer. However, as our business grew and acquired more clients, we found that WordPress better met our needs,” Reed explained. “WordPress is fully integrated and allows us to build a website and host it all in one place, which is essential for our growing business. We use it to easily build out sites for our clients and offer managed content services where we continually add fresh and interesting content to manage SEO, build authority, and increase brand awareness. “

Additionally, Reed touched on WordPress being more user-friendly for non-techies to utilize a wide range of customizable features and intuitive tools that make content management and site customization straightforward. He noted the ease of navigation, as well as enhanced workflow for adding more content to the Bizwrite site or client projects.

However, Reed noted a few challenges to WordPress. “It can be challenging (or simply daunting) to navigate for some users, especially with initial setup and updates, for those new to website development, but we have found a quick training is usually all it takes to help their marketing team take ownership,” Reed concluded.
